Celebrating WORLD SICKLE CELL DAY on Juneteenth is significant because each year, on June 19, countries all over the world celebrate World Sickle Cell Day. The goal of this day is to recognize sickle cell anemia is a global public health problem and promote education about this genetic condition. This disease can occur in any race or ethnic group, but is most common in people of African or Hispanic descent. Together we can build support for families living with SCD and SCT.

Location:

Cornerstone Baptist Church

20 W. Lea Blvd, Wilmington, DE 19802

FREE & OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

Hosted by: Interdenominational Ministers Action Council, Delaware Juneteenth Association, Center for Global Africa & TOVA Community Health
